AC Design is a jewellery company founded and run by Ann-Cathrine Hedman, creating exclusive, Sámi-inspired bracelets, necklaces, anklets, hair barrettes, and rings.
Each piece is handcrafted in Sweden, blending tradition with contemporary design.
The Story & Craft
Since 2001, I have been crafting jewellery inspired by traditional Sámi craftsmanship. Each piece is handmade with love and care. My work respectfully draws inspiration from Nordic heritage, offering elegant, wearable art for everyday life.
Every piece of jewellery tells a story of craftsmanship, tradition, and timeless style. Bringing these elements together and seeing a piece take shape is a true passion.
Materials & Process
Each creation is carefully handcrafted from start to finish using only high-quality materials. These include genuine reindeer leather in beautiful colours, sterling silver beads, pewter wire containing 4% silver, coloured copper wire, glass beads, and buttons made from reindeer antler.
Every step of the process is done by hand – from cutting the leather and hand-braiding the strands, to sewing, assembling, and stitching each piece together. Small variations are a natural part of handcrafted jewellery, making every piece truly unique.
Timeless Design
Each piece is given a unique name, inspired by characters and places from Norse mythology. Designed to be worn by all genders, the jewellery is created for both everyday life and special occasions.
Over time, these timeless pieces develop their own character, becoming even more beautiful with wear.
